Contracts with government entities
To provide access to testing to uninsured and houseless individuals, we seek to partner with the Hawaiʻi Department of Health’s Behavioral Health Services Administration and the City and County of Honolulu to provide additional processing capacity as they expand sample collection within these communities.
Contracts with private entities
For businesses who require regular or intermittent testing of workers, the lab is available to be contracted for diagnostic services. Though the TMC Lab does not collect patient samples at this time, we have identified trained medical personnel who may be able to perform this service and can discuss this option.
Covering testing costs
For individuals with private insurance or Medicaid, billing information will be provided to the lab by the physician or entity conducting the sample collection (swab). Check with your provider to see if COVID-19 testing is covered under your plan. To determine eligibility or to apply for Medicaid, please visit https://medquest.hawaii.gov/.
